Ok, so I had a post you about a stop error on my system and someone replied back about updating my drivers from each parts individual site. So I go to update the drivers on my Motherboard, a ASUS M2N SLI Deluxe from the nvidia site like I was told. Well, on the site it said to uninstall all previous drivers, so I did and restarted the computer. Well, upon restart and it logging in for me I discovered to my dismay, that nothing worked. I couldn't move my mouse, keyboard was unresponsive, and the New hardware wizard was up. I guess the system could just be frozen too, but as far as I can tell it's just that the mouse and keyboard aren't working so I can't do anything to fix it. What do I do???!!! Ohh, here's the system specs cuz I'm sure someone will ask for them.

Motherboard - ASUS M2N SLI Deluxe
Processor - AMD Athlon X2 4600+
Ram - 2x1GB Corsair XMS2 DDR2
OS - Microsoft Windows XP Home OEM
GPU - XFX Nvidia GeForce 7900GT
Sound Card - SoundBlaster Audigy 4 (still trying to get that to work...)
Hard Drive - Hitachi Deskstar80 Gig 7200 RPM SATA 3.0GB/s
PSU - Fortron AX450-PN

I assume that you didn't have to type a password to get logged in.

Does the keyboard work if you try to get into the BIOS setup? Are the keyboard and mouse both USB devices? You may need to change the settings in the BIOS to something like "enable USB legacy support" or something. If Windows doesn't have any USB drivers loaded, it may not let you use USB inputs. If you have a spare for either that uses PS/2 (or an adapter which usually comes with both keyboards and mice when you buy them) then use that until you get the drivers loaded. Make sure you cancel out the new hardware wizard so that you can actually run the nvidia installer.

That's my first guess.

Both the keyboard and the mouse are hookup up through PS/2 and I tried hooking them up through USB also with no results. I'll check the BIOS and see if I can find anything because it does work in the BIOS.

Edit: I just tried to see what I could find in the BIOS and from what I could tell everything was alright. That doesn't mean much though because I don't know much about BIOS.
