MAJOR PROBLEM: Bios does not detect any devices

I have a major problem with my BIOS because it does not detect ANY device (SATA and IDE) that is attached. I had this problem ever since I installed NVidia RAID drivers, but I never had to encounter it until my SATA harddrive broke down. Before, it used to only display my harddrive as the only available device. How can I fix this? I think the RAID driver might be integrated into the BIOS because after my regular BIOS, there is a special NVidia BIOS that says "Detecting Array." I am really confused and don't know what to do. Any help will really be appreciated.

So you was running a raid array correct? And one of the hard drives that was in the array became faulty correct?

What array was you running and also what did you do with the new hard drive.

What exactly do you mean when your BIOS is not detecting any of your IDE/SATA hard drives? During POST?

When you receive that error message is that during POST, or when windows is loading?

Thanks for the quick reply. I think I was running a RAID 0 array. I want to test to see if its a hardware problem or a software problem, so I planned on reformatting. I have two harddrives: one IDE and one SATA, but the SATA device is the only device that shows up in the BIOS and none of my IDE devices are even detected (for example, if I try to boot from the CD drive, it says I don't even have a cd drive.) Other devices, like my floppy drive, work well.

But here's a catch: The computer seems to load devices TWICE- first when it posts, but NONE of my devices get detected here....then while the NVIDIA Raid bios loads, it detects everything.

UPDATE: I attempted to reset my bios by setting the jumper. Still no use, my cd rom and harddrives still do not show up and the nvidia RAID tool still boots up. If the nvidia raid thingy was installed AFTER, why is it still here after resetting my BIO? 0_0
