This is a contradiction to what some reports have said about the U.S. attacks until after the election. Obviously those reports were wrong. This looks like an effort to recapture Falluja. Hopefully we can defeat them and retake the city and their stronghold. I wonder what the people who said it was despicable to delay attacks until after the election have to say now? Eh...

I disagreed with holding back attacks until after the election and I posted Bush was wrong to do so. I was dissapointed with his backbone and caving to political realities. I'm glad it was bad info... probably a good tactic to keep the enemy off guard... and of course I'm happy we're doing what we're doing.

Re-capture? How many times have we re-captured it? Sure, the U.S. is blowing more people up. Great. Glad it makes you feel powerful.

Alternatively, it makes him feel less scared. Many Iraq war supporters are very scared people. The kind of people who thought Japan was buying up all our land and business in the early 90s. Fear-addicts are what they are. They need someone to fear and loathe. Hurting those people, whether they be blacks, communists, or muslims, makes them feel more safe. It's sad we have to suffer for their fear and cowardice. :(

your whole argument makes no sense...Where did i say any of the things you said? I'm a scared person? I'm scared of WHAT? I'm not scared of anything, I'm not scared of terrorism, I'm not scared of some country overtaking us as the #1 country. The likelihood I'll be affected by a terrorist attack is next to nothing. That doesn't change the fact that they attacked us... I can't believe you think most iraq war supporters are somehow scared of something. I dunno about other Americans, but I feel about as secure as I can here in America, I'm not afraid of anything. Oh, I take it back, I am scared of one thing. Hanoi John F. "Frenchy" Kerry Heinz getting elected president.

Of course many war-on-Iraq supporters will claim they never fear, but actions speak louder than words. They lash out against the boogeyman of the moment in order to calm their inner fear-fiend.

what? what are you talking about? I don't see how attacking another country somehow "calms their inner fear-fiend".

that's because the administration wants to dance around and say they have al zarquiwi's head, because they still don't have osama's after ignoring him for 3 years

i hope the US operation suceeds with minimal casualties

GWB just finally realized that some people really do think that the instability in Iraq might preclude elections there and had to take some action. The steady progress in Iraq angle won't work forever without some actual progress to report

I'm happy that the admin didn't decide to wait and give the enemy time to dig in more, I'm for whatever causes a minimal loss of troops. Too bad it couldn't have been them not going in the first place.

Of course, that opinion could change if only ntdz could show us all the error of our ways. How's that response comin ntdz?
