Hey guys. I know a lot of you have V600's so I was hoping you could help me. I bought an unlocked V600 off ebay from someone reputable (in ebay world) and have had the phone for several months. It's worked great. But the last few days, my phone shuts off randomly for no apparent rhyme or reason. The battery is fully charged, but do you think it could be a battery problem? Any suggestions?

Thanks

Is it cold where you are? That used to happen to me all the time in the winter with my V600.

its a motorola issue, they have it on a lot of their models. The bad thing is that you have no warranty. Time to buy a new phone.

Put a folded index card behind the battery to have it firmly stay in place.

The 600 is a decent phone, my fiancee has it and we abuse it to no end (she talks 2500+ on it a month).

Very likely it's just a software issue, ask your provider if there's an update you can do to it. I've seen similar issues with other Motorola phones (v60c, 720c, 120c, C333), all of which were fixed when they upgraded those models to the newer versions (v60s, 730c, 120e, C343). Same phones, new software.

And if I have an unlocked phone?

If cleaning the contacts for the battery don't fix the problem ... then buy a new battery .... maybe to a local provider in your area that carries the V600. That way if you try the new battery and it work .. great you good to go. But if the new battery doesn't fix it then you have an option of returning the battery where you bought it.
