I left my new computer running while i went to work today and got back to find that the internal cpu temperature was running at 111 degrees, which is unbelievable.

THe machine was fine, could load apps, etc etc and it shutdown without a problem so this must be a misreport by the bios.

Anyone heard of such a incorrect temperature report? This is on a dual amd 64 3800 running overclocked at 2.5ghz, 1.5 volts under water cooling on the processor, gfx and nb, where the temp idle is 29 degrees and under full load 39. The board is an abit kn8 ultra

After a reboot it went back to normal, but i have noticed this happen a couple of times.

Any Ideas?

Maybe it's reporting farenheit temps, though that would still put you at 44C, which is probably still pretty high for water.

The temperature setting is on centigrade as this was reported in both everest and speedfan along with the abit temperature monitor software, very weird.

Is 44 degrees high for a dual amd under full load? as I wouldnt have thought a 10-15 degree difference between idle and full load would be the norm for water cooling?
