Major League Baseball is blacking out almost all games on ESPN????

Since the season started Monday I have sat down to watch my third game on ESPN on Adelphia cable. It was the third time the game was blacked out with no explanation.
I called Adelphia and they say it is MLB that is not letting ESPN show the games in Massachusettes, Vermont, Pennsylvania and one or two other states in the North East.
Can anyone see tonies Washington Nationals versus New York Mets games?
Is this true? Is MLB shooting themselves in the foot?
Why would you show games in all areas of the country except the Northeast?

Not blacked out for me. The only time they black them out if the game is on ESPN/ESPN2 and its on NESN. I could see why they would black out a Mets game as I get WPIX, but its not on there tonight so i guess its all good.

this is old news buddy. are you a sox fan too?

the worst is when it's on fox, and out of the choices they have for games they decide to show the one you don't care about.

I noticed that too yesterday! I was all set to watch the Phillies game on crappy non-HD ESPN2 (screw you very much Comcast) and it had that Barry Bonds crap on instead, this shit better not keep happening.
