Good that the Potus met with the family. And at least the guy who killed the general has already been dealt with permanently. I'm a U.S. Army vet so I tend to be partial to the Army even though I speak out against America here.

Why did the media not care when soldiers were killed daily in Iraq and Afghanistan for years. But when a general is killed, shits all over the news outlets for weeks? Total hypocracy, apparently some lives are more valuable than others.

Of course they are or are you being deliberately obtuse. Is Steve Jobs passing away more important to society than an engineer at Apple? Is killing Commissioner Gordon more important than some Gotham beat cop (I kid, I kid)?

In hierarchical organizations, people have different levels of influence and importance. It doesn't mean their physical lives have more value but certainly their importance to society as a whole is different.

Just reading on General Greene's bio/career. He had three master's engineering degrees, all from good schools. And a doctorate in materials science. Wow, what a loss to the engineering core.
