...floor mats.

hahahaha....I always thought they came with the car....I did not have to bargain them in with my mazda3....

Also...what is with the trunk design on the Corolla? you have push the trunk button on the key fob again to shut the trunk. You simply can't shut it.

basic cheapo floor mats should have came with teh car (but i noticed toyota/lexus doesnt anymore)
honda still does though

we got the rubber mats for our lexus and they barely cover the floor, suck pretty hard

anyways if you've got the smart key you walk up to it press the button on the trunk to open and when you close it...... not sure what the problem is?
trunk fob shouldnt make a difference

Most econo cars don't come with floormats standard. But they are all less than $100 so you didn't lose much off of the bargaining table (unless you weren't negotiating much). I suggest getting rubber floor mats, keeps the car much much cleaner.

it's just kind of annoying.....the first time, i thought the trunk broke b/c I could not close it.

I can't think of any reason why you'd have to press the trunk button on the fob to close the trunk except that the latch is sticking.

How is this a major fail?

Go on-line (ebay perhaps), find a reputable vendor and buy some.

A MAJOR fail would have been not putting enough oil into your GF's engine during an oil change and burning it up.

Tell me about it. My wife's IS250 is in need of at least a driver's side front mat but they only sell them in complete sets and they cost $260 a set.

My Maxima is due for a new driver's mat but I can buy the fronts through Nissan and they are only about $70.

ebay ftw for cheap stuff that works

or find a site that sells toyota OEM stuff online. they're always cheaper than retail
