A major manufacturer of acetaminophen sold by Wal-Mart, CVS, Safeway and more than 100 other retailers recalled 11 million bottles of the widely used pain-relieving pills Thursday after discovering some were contaminated with metal fragments.

Not just Wal-Mart

This involves a lot more stores than Walmart, vitually every brand of generic I can think of seems to be on the list.

Yes, it's bad enough that Homerboy gives us a post with absolutely zero information, but then has a title that is completely inaccurate to boot.

It's a voluntary class II recall covering "products that might cause a temporary health problem or pose only a slight threat of a serious nature, according to the FDA" and it's for 500-milligram acetaminophen caplets made by the Perrigo Co .

List of affected batches here.
List of stores that carry this manufacturer here. It includes Eckerd, Long's, Pathmark, Albertson's BJ's, CVS, Food Lion, Winn Dixie, Ralph's, Meijer and Kroger as well as Wal-Mart.

Is Stop & Shop owned by a parent compnay? Its not on the list and wondering if it would be listed as another company.

I've gotta agree. I'm not a fan of WalMart or what they've done to smaller stores, but the OP is hate mongering with that title.

title fixed
little to no information? I posted the article... read it
sorry I haven't rushed back to fix it. That title was a mistake on my side. I was busy at work and came back to see the error.
(and no I'm not a Walmart hater... don't love em, but it was not an intentional jab at Wally)
and it wasn't completely inaccurate. WalMart is affected. I would say it was more incomplete that "completely inaccurate"
