Major Differences in the 945p chipsets and the 965p?

Looking at the 945 or 965p versions of the gigabyte s3. $25 difference. I would have gotten a 965p foxconn board, but it's OOS at newegg. Maybe I'll get it at pagecomputers... nevertheless, would the 945p board be a better value? Will it work with the same RAM as 965p boards?

i think one of the differences is that the ich8 is on the 965 and the ich7 is on the 945.


you might want to look into a 946 when they start becoming more available. the 965 i think also can scaled to much higher clock speeds than the 945 since it smade on a new process tech.

for th "P" non integrated graphics chips there isnt that much difference.
