hey. Sorry to join just to get help with my problem but i am planning on sticking around
Anyways I havent played computer games in a while besides starcraft. But i installed command and conquer generals and noticed it played like ass and was really laggy. So i decide to run adaware and it still is really slow. so i run 3dmark 2001 and i get a score of 2927. which is horrible because my score was 5607. and there was no hardware changes except i added 512 mbs of ram
Anyway my computer specs are below
Athlon xp 2000+ (underclocked to 1800+ speeds because of instability)
1024 mbs Pc2100 ddr ram
Radeon 9000 (not pro)
80 gig WD HD
ECS K7S5A Motherboard
here is my 3dmark link from years ago when i first benchmarked it
http://service.futuremark.com/compare?2k1=5445750
and here is my link to what it is now with the same computer and everything
http://service.futuremark.com/compare?2k1=8343281
so what the hell? I am looking for some tips or something. because that is a drastic fall and i only did things to make my computer better.
