Well I've been on anandtech for 17 years and It still seems to me that liberal minded people in the media and in my personal life are much more likely to resort to personal attacks on conservatives than conservative minded people making personal attacks on liberal minded people. Just look at how Condo Rice, Clarence Thomas and other conservatives are attacked on such a personal nature. Their views aren't debated so much but instead they are attacked personally by liberal minded people. The same people that preach a more tolerant culture.

What are you talking about? Feds are funding it at 100% for 3 years and 90% after that. So no one is stopping funding, unless Republicans repeal it.

What are the attacks on Condi Rice and Clarence Thomas that you consider personal? I see a lot of attacks on their (lack of) professionalism and results of their work, but not so much on the personal level.
