Major Bass next to monitors

Well, I finally got the sound working right on my computer, and got my Klipschs hooked back up. Now I have some much bass that the image on my monitors vibrate like bad. I am just wondering whether this will hurt my monitors?

I had that prob to so I put my subwoofer on the floor problem fixed

The sub is on the floor about five feet away from my first monitor.
