I have a Duron 750 with 128 MB RAM (running at 750 MHz) on A7V rev 1.02 board running Windows 98SE. It was running fine until one day it started giving out beeps which according to the manual mean the system did not detect RAM. I know the RAM is good because it works fine in another system. Now the system wouldn't boot from hard drive nor from disk. On power on the monitor is blank and the system just gives out beeps. What could possibly be wrong?

I had this problem with my A7V, but it was because I damaged a couple traces between the socket and the RAM banks. Asus fixed it for $40. If it is a mobo problem call Asus and get it RMA'd.

have you tried hitting the reset button? sometimes when you are overclocking with an A7V this will happen because of to high of setting the board didn't like. also try unplugging power source then turning it back on. if that fails try clearing the cmos.
