This is supposed to be out today.

I'm just wondering if anyone has picked it up and played it yet, and what your thoughts are about it.

I was a big fan of the original Majesty (and its expansion), but have been too busy to grab a copy yet.

Um.. I played it and it seems to be the same?

I am really not liking this game though. What's the point of having lords if they cost like 5000 gold to summon? It makes them nearly impossible to get unless I just sit there for 3,000 days letting my men killing rats while I do not progress in the mission. :/

Cough, cough... Paladins and other omg fucking sweet guys cost upwards of 10,000 and more once you get them to level 20.

This looks like a unique take on the RTS genre and probably a good game to rent rather than buy. Of course since that isn't an option, I'm going to pass on it for now.

I really liked the first one.. but the 2nd one is exactly the same.. and its boring as hell.

I find myself playing the game in 5x speed everytime. Otherwise its not fun and extremely slow.

In conclusion: 1st one was good, 2nd one is definitely NOT worth buying.

never played the original. this sounded good, but I dunno.

I've already pre-ordered CoD: MW 2 and Uncharted 2, and I Alpha Protocol looks cool too. not sure that I want to spend more money on this.

Im playing it right now. A little frustrating in that you have to bribe your guys to do ANYTHING. I found an easy way to edit your cash so Im cheating a bit through there, decent so far, not spectacular.

Yep, it's annoying. But, I don't mind too much because you make markets, blacksmiths, and Inns that give you all that money back. Then your heroes get stronger because they buy items.

Just got doing the skeleton king mission and it is annoying. There are so many things CONSTANTLY attacking. Clerics ftw. Btw, King will attack at 85 days... Be ready if you don't finish the mission. He attacked my town, but I had like 20 heroes and luckily they tanked pretty well. He's such a PIA because of his nuke spells... Blows up a huge area with just one spell... Fucks with your heroes... Instant gib.. Arghhh.

I kinda feel the same way as well. The strange thing is; I don't know why I should feel this way since what I wanted was the game to feel like the original.

Maybe nostalgia goggles?

In any case try the demo, it will give you a good feel of how the game is like.

Wow, some of these levels are stupid difficult...

I just got done doing the one where you are between paladins/clerics and elves/rogues/whatever. I had my place destroyed so many times. >.< Luckily I put 4 dwarf towers for the top(Practically instant pwn for the north) but I had to deal with constant insanity from bottom. Paladins are such freaking tanks.

wow, glad i didn't buy this. I'd like to have control over my units. I don't want to have to pay them to do everything and I'd like to coordinate them so they all attack the same thing, not have each unit attack something different.
graphics aren't horrible but they're pretty lame for 2009.

It is basically supposed to be a SIM, not an RTS or RPG

so glad there was a demo, this is one of those games that i just don't "get"

like pontifex said, not having any sort of direct control over my units short of bribing them with $$ to go to a specific spot on the map is pretty lame
