Hi everyone,
my MSI K7N2-L mainboard temperature appears to be really really high.. it idles at 45C and at load, it even goes up to around 52C. i imagine this can't be good for the mainboard, and all the components attached to it. just to see how hot the system is when i don't have the case covers on, it STILL idles at around 42C ... which is still pretty high. can someone tell me why it could be running THIS hot... and also if there are any recommendations on what i should to lower the temperature to an acceptable level? thanks.

You sure that's the mainboard reading and not the CPU reading? Cuz those are normal for the CPU. You may have selected the wrong reading in whatever software you're using, or if the software doesn't let you change, it may be reading them backwards (I've seen that happen).

no i am 100% sure that is the mainboard temp... the CPU temps are even higher...
mainboard idle at 45
cpu at 55
load
mainboard 51
cpu 62
... i think the CPU can take the heat.. but those temps are awfully hgih for the mainboard though...
what do i do?? and what could be the problem??

What software are you using to monitor your temps? Does your bios have the capability to monitor temps also? If so do they match the readings from your software?
