Main site anniversary giveaway question

Since you don't have to send an e-mail anymore, does anyone know if this mean multiple comments on the same item disqualify you (ie: is each comment counted as an entry attempt)? Or are additional comments ignored for entry purposes?

I figured I could post it here since it's a contest / giveaway, but a mod can move it somewhere more appropriate if necessary since this specific to Anandtech.

That seems pretty unlikely for the obvious reason. I suspect they take either the first or [preferably] the last entry under an account-Id. If they do disqualify anyone, it would be for multiple postings -- but that seems a pointless pettiness as it's trivial to collapse all posts to 1/account-Id before the "drawing".

Seemed odd to me that they didn't just require putting the contact info in the user's forum account database.

The way I read it you can only enter once per item. Making a comment would be considered one entry. Making additonal response comments to the same post would be additional entry attempts and would disqualify you.

Today's Saturday, and I never noticed a Friday giveaway.

But... the Mouse Pad giveaway was posted at 11:45PM PDT... so... was it a 15 minute giveaway for Californicators? {Longer for Hula-Dancers & Malamutes. 🙂 }

Or is it a Saturday (or Weekend) giveaway?

23:45 PDT seems odd timing for posting a "daily" giveaway, but this won't be the first -- or last -- time I've been wrong. Perhaps the giveaway's scope should be mentioned in the post.

The mousepad giveaway says "Entries will be accepted from 11:45 PM PDT on June 25, 2010 through 11:45PM PDT on June 26, 2010. Winner will be selected by June 28, 2010."

Ok, that's what I was thinking, too. I just wasn't sure if the e-mail was the entry factor before or if the comments were, and how the elimination of sending an e-mail would affect this.
