Sports car winner takes cash instead. A retired postman who won a Lotus sports car in a competition has decided to keep his trusty Metro instead. John Gilbert, 79, from Minnis Bay, Kent, won the Lotus Elise in a spot-the-ball competition.
But he has decided not to take it because his garage is not
big enough for the 160mph car. He has chosen to take the cash equivalent of the prize, and will hold on to his Metro until he buys a new, small car, reports the Daily Star.

Putting a 79 yr old guy behind the wheel of this superfast car can be pretty dangerous.
It's safer to just take the cash, both for himself and everyone else on the streets. 🙂
