mailing cash question

i know mailing cash isn't extremely safe, but do i need to put more than one $.37 stamp if i have around 10 or so bills in the envelope? should i put two on just to be safe?

It would go by weight.
You should be fine with only one stamp, but for $0.37, why chance it. Put an extra stamp on it just to be sure.

good point. especially if it's '10 or so bills'. why risk it?

Just for you, I weighed ten bills on my postage scale. You need to add four more pieces of letter sized paper before the postage bumps up to $0.60.

So ten bills wrapped in one piece of paper, plus envelope, plus ink, plus one stamp would be $0.37. 😀

Just go to your bank and get a Cashier's Cheque (AKA "Certified Cheque"). My bank lets me get them for no additional charge. A Cashier's Cheque is good at any banking institution and they can't be returned for NSF.
