Mail Setting on Mobile

I have gmail and hotmail set up on my phone. (Froyo 2.2).
If I read an email on my PC, it shows up as unread on my phone.
Where is my fail?

I presume you're using gmail via android and hotmail via pop3?

As far as Hotmail goes - Microsoft just added ActiveSync support. Android isn't officially on the list yet, but it works on my Epic. The server is m.hotmail.com, the username is the full email address, no domain, use SSL.

Correct.

But, I get a server not responding error when I use your settings. So maybe not working yet on Evo?

Hmm. Could be. HTC has their own Exchange client for Sense.

Hotmail never worked very well for me in Android with the pop3 settings, I never even bothered to use it until I got this working. As for gmail not updating either - yea, that's weird, I dunno.
