What is the typical limitation space for sending and receiving? I have a friend who need email to get attachment very big (~300 MB).. What make me curious is how does the person who send it can send such a big file.

Dang, that would bring the server to a crawl. Setting up some sort of ftp or just burning the data to a cd and mailing it would work better.

Typically ISP's don't let you email an attachment of mor than 1.5 mb. IT can corrup tyour mailbox if it is larger than that, not to mention what it does to performance. I would ftp it to your site and then download it from there. Or share it over tcp/ip.
