Mail Server -- IMAP or POP

Which do you use/prefer and why?

 

IMAP - it's all server side, which is sweet. It's what my college uses.

My college uses IMAP. I keep my POP (hotmail) for junkmail purposes.

I dont really know why, but I use pop3 on my domain.

Since I use webmail I prefer IMAP.

i was used to pop3(comcast) which i liked better b/c i could dl all my mail and its more outlook friendly, but now i use IMAP(umich) and its decent but i dont liek the whole server side thig
