I'm looking for a program I can use to pull mail off of a POP3 server into my Linux box, so that I can run IMAPd off of the Linux box for all of my mail in one location.

Does anyone know of a utility that does this and puts the mail into the users' inbox on a Linux machine?

Thanks

'nother vote for fetchmail here...

I run fetchmail/procmail/sendmail/IMAP/squirrelmail on one of my RH boxes to handle all the mail for the house.

Thanks for the pointers... I'll check into all of those. I'm a huge fan of IMAP. But my ISP only offers POP3, and I decided I would remedy that problem... by setting up an IMAP server for myself!

Thanks again.

Actually, I've never setup mail on my box before... are there any specific packages that I need to get BASIC mail functionality working? I'm running Mandrake 9.0 and I've installed procmail, sendmail, imap, and mutt. But when I run mutt I get some error about "no mailboxes" found. And I can't seem to send intra-system messages (i.e., from root to a user) either... which leads me to believe there is still some infrastructure missing...

Thanks for your help!
