Does anyone know of any reputible website that allow you to customize a pc to order? I've seen alien ware and such.. but thoes are pretty expensive. My friend is looking for more of a gaming pc, which Dell and Gateway don't really offer. Are there any other companies you guys know of?
 
You should definitely buy a "physical" Computer Shopper magazine and look there. Then, look at www.ResellerRatings.com for rankings of the companies you choose.

TCComputers.com got kinda crappy after they got bought by Insight.com;
you can try MWave.com but I think your options will be somewhat limited there.

Really, buy a $4 Computer Shopper magazine and look in it, it's fun to read and a lot of it is dedicated to companies that sell custom-built computers and hardware.
