Mail in Rebate + warranty

I don't think it voids the warranty, but I know that it disqualifies you from RMA or returning some broke item to a store. I just did a rebate on a monitor, and this means that in the future if I have any problems, Newegg can't do anything about it.

But, the manufacturer can.
 
UPCs are on packaging. There are only a few items that require warranty returns to be in the original packaging. It should not be a problem regardless.
