Mahmoud Adbul-Rauf aka Chris Jackson

If you don't know, he was a great NBA player who changed his name from Chris Jackson to Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf after converting to Islam. Soon afterwards, he stopped standing up during the national anthem. He says that America stands for tyranny, oppression and everything bad internationally. One of the people that has influenced him was Malcom X.

He is a ex-Nugget and ex-King. Had a great shot and just blazing speed. He could shake off basically anyone.

which voting option is closest to "idiot" ?

I don't know about that. He is very bright and has educated himself on Islam, supposedly. People around him say that Islam has turned his life around and changed him as a person.

He reads the Quran a lot.

Maybe America should take away all the money it gave him.

Many people don't agree with America's actions worldwide and even nationally, why don't we also arrest them?

I thought he was a very good college player as Chris Jackson while at LSU and only average player in the NBA. Good shooter and scorer but not much more.

I liked him as a player (because I liked quick shooters, plus his name was fun for a 10 year old to say).

Didn't like his disrespect of the US, though.

Spontaneous Tourette's tick FTW!

Seriously tho, he was actually good in his day.

LOL!! he had the WORST tick!!!

ummmm.....why are we even talking about him? was he in the news lately?

He was an awesome player and a remarkeable person to play with Tourette's.

He said the nat'l anthem conflicted with his islamic beliefs, so he prayed during it.

Where's this jibberish that he said all this "America stands for tyranny, oppression and everything bad internationally" crap?

Not enough witches around now, you've got to go back about 10 years?

So he blurted out curse words spontaneousely? Isn't that indicative of every NBA player?

Bison Deli was more funny. He quit the NBA to manage a waste treatment facility.

And was murdered by his brother at sea somewhere in the South Pacific sometime in 2002.

Seriously, you can't make this stuff up.

When celebrities or even normal people say bad things or disrespect the U.S., dont' rise to the bait.

I don't even waste my precious energy on hating Osama bin Laden or that new guy with the new video. I mean, I have better things to think about.

They have their ideas, I have mine. Big whoop.

Are you, personally, ever going to be in a position where you can talk to these people, much les change their minds? No.

So I think about my kid, my wife, the Perl program I am trying to write. I save my energy for productive things.

I am confident in my opinion that the USA is the greatest country in the world, not only now but in the history of the human race. That makes me very happy and proud. No dingbat with a contrary opinion is going to get me riled up and take away my pride and happiness.

Mohammad Ali > Mahmoud Abdul Rauf
Those sum it up nicely. When Abdul Rauf starts using his fame and money to help others, then he gets my respect.
