Slow performance artifact......

Legal pharmaceutical amphetamines were all over the place up until the early 70s. My mother was given a prescription for Dexedrine when she was complaining about being won out raising 3 boys with one one way. That brother was born in 1960. She really did not take them long because she couldn't get to sleep.
It was up or down. Remember "Mother's little helper" Rolling Stones song?

Yep, and let's not forget the standard pre-game "greenies" in Major League Baseball.

That's a highly inaccurate characterization. Even though I don't agree with him, Maher's remarks were considerably more nuanced-

I distinctly remember an exchange he had where he mocked skeptics who deny a link and backed up his mockery with the “fact” there there are more autistic people than ever. I will say that there are more DIAGNOSED these days but that just means it was often undiagnosed before, which is a nuance he didn’t leave any wiggle room for. It boiled down to: You ignore the “obvious” link, you are a moron.

Didn't there use to be a website with a "Spurious Correlation Generator"? Where you could find correlations between all number of randomly-selected historical statistics?

Ah, here it is

Seems like a decent # of data sets he entered, including silly, fun ones like the # of Nick Cage movies, hehe.

Bookmarked it for later when bored...some silly correlations could be fun and ridiculous
