MAHA Digital MH-C777Plus2 battery analyzer/charger. $18.00+s&h

Looks like the MAHA charger deal is now dead.

Opentip.com has a couple MAHA brand battery charger deals. This deal for the MH-C777Plus2 analyzer, conditioner, and charger is beyond HOT ! Here is the link: http://www.opentip.com/product_info.php?cPath=6152&products_id=95839

This is the universal unit with the LED display that will condition and charge just about any NiMH, Lithiun, or NiCd battery pack you throw at it. Will also handle A's, C's, & D's by using adapters. Steve's digicam has a review and some decent pictures here: http://steves-digicams.com/2002_reviews/maha_c777.html

Unfortunately, this deal is so hot it may end up being another one of those "if it's too good to be true scenarios", but it's worth a shot. I ordered one before posting, and my total came to $24.49. I did receive an order confirmation email from opentip.com for what its worth. They also have the MAHA 204F charger for $10.80 plus shipping, but the listing does not state any battery details or if any are included.

Would like to be able to tell you something about opentip. com, but Just found them today reading about a motherboard deal posted by Titan. If anyone has some experience with them, it would be nice to know how you made out.

agreed, this is very good, and likely a pricing mistake. get it if you can.

here is related link with normal price. Thomas Distributing

thanks for the tip, i have a similiar unit..........but this is tempting.

edit: i did just process an order, but at the end found that payment is routed through paypal; that killed the deal. I won't deal with paypal in any fashion. but for people that don't mind that, this is a very good deal, on a very good unit.

Well, I ordered and we'll see what happens. I could not find any resellerratings on onetip, so I am a bit cautious. At least AMEX always favors the consumer if there is a problem. 🙂

Thanks OP

Just received this from Opentip:

Dear Stephen,

I am terribly sorry that the item# LTC-RCHMHC777PLUS2 has been sold out and
will not be available any longer, I'm afraid we can only have this order
canceled, thanks

Shirley

Looks like they are unwilling to admit they made a price mistake.

Maha chargers are overrated/overhyped anyway. I own a MH-C204F and it is a flaky piece of ******. I can leave batteries in it forever and the green LEDs will not come on, or the green LEDs will come on but if I take the batteries out and put them back in it continues to charge them again. Not very Intelligent imo.

I agree, but after awhile I would guess you will learn how it works. 🙂

If it thinks a battery is bad, it doesn't charge it. Charging for more than a day and it or the battery is likely bad.

Sorry for posting this deal folks. I received an order cancellation too. Funny thing is, both chargers were just re-listed, and as I am posting this this message, they show up on Opentips site again as available inventory. You can see the new listing and posting date here: http://www.opentip.com/product_info.php?products_id=98667

Decided to email them back and call their bluff. Told them not to got to worry about refunding my money and to just ship one since they were showing as back in stock. Received the following reply from someone calling themselves Shirley:

I am sorry that our staff must have made a mistake and didn't have the
website updated, as this item is a discontinued item and the only one that
we have is broken. Terribly sorry for that, I'm afraid we can only have your
order canceled and refund you.

Didn't really know anything about Opentip.com when I first posted, but based on their performance and response to my last mail, I believe I have all the information I need.

On that basis, here's another Open Tip for anyone considering doing business with them. Unless you actually enjoy being jerked around, having your time wasted, and your intelligence insulted with responses like the email reply above; Do yourself a favor and don't waste your time with these people.
