Website price is different but local BM stores have the monitor for 209.97 with a $30 MIR. Link

Big question for me is how does it compare to the Pixie 950 on sale at Compusa for .02 more after MIR. The Pixie has better warranty and is Energy Star Compliant. The Magview has higher max resolution and vertical frequency. Be nice just to compare them side by side.

Update: I got a Magaview and opened the box. It is Energy Star Compliant according to the box although Best Buys site says it is not ... and also the warranty in the box says 3 years but only one for labor.

The rebate form will print with the receipt so don't worry if the website says rebate expired. It is vailid through 1/6/01.

PRODUCT FEATURES

19" screen (17.9" viewable image)
Up to 1600 x 1200 resolution at 60Hz
0.25mm dot pitch Flicker-free images at recommended resolution
One-key on-screen display user controls
Color temperature and adjustment controls
Plug-and-play
50?150Hz vertical frequency
30?85kHz horizontal frequency

Happy Holidays
:)

Herman, SO how is the quality?
Does the picture "breath" if you switch from a dark picture to a white one?
How is the sharpness at the edges?
Thanks

Search back a bit guys, this was on sale about 4-6 weeks ago at Best Buy. Generally the peeps said that the display was not up to standards.

Where is the MIR? I called the store, and they said that it was $249.97, and no MIR shown. So even if a $30 MIR..then its $220 for this monitor.

Mag monitors are average. Their best quality is their price which is cheap, but Pixie monitors are crap. Image quality is grainy.

kind-of-blue I agree with you, but I wouldnt pay 250 for this monitor. $180 didnt sound bad...but 250 is high.

Pixie is a good brand...I believe they are popular in Russia. The guards in the gulags used them to monitor the daily floggings.

Sorry,

I have been away. I have not had a chance to hook up the new monitor but in the store the Pixie seemed sharper but it was only hooked up to one computer where at BestBuy all 30 or so montiors we chained together and the lighting was horrible so I took that into account.

I can scan my invoice if anyone wants a copy. The website and Flyer had them for 249. but they are actually 209 in the local store until 1/6/01 according to my store.

The warranty is with EMC Multisystems
