Magnetic money clips on wallets

My friend had gotten a new wallet.. it was just a slim piece of leather with room for a few cards, room in the middle for stuff, and a magnetic clip for money. I thought it was pretty damn sweet... something I wanna get cause I don't really care for a bigass wallet in the back of my pocket, plus I don't really need a trifold when I only carry some money and just a few cards. THey had one style of them at Walmart.

Would I need to be absolutely sure to remember to not have it in the same pocket as a flash drive or my phone due to the magnetic clip? Or even in a nearby pocket?

They have regular metal clip ones, but they seemed kinda bulky and crappy.. the magnetic ones are nice cept for the possibility of screwing with electronics.

I just switched from a leather trifold to a leather bifold and am quite happy with the move.

I never understood money clips for the average joe. Who caries around that much cash anymore, anyways? Plastic is the future.

I can't find a link... Walmart doesn't have all of their products online. I'm not sure what they are exactly called.

And yeah I carry cash still. I use my debit card for most purchases like gas and groceries but need cash for pop/snack machines, small purchases like cigs, fast food, movie rentals, or other places where you need a minimum purchase to use a card, and uh, ahem other purchases.

Flash memory is not magnetically stored, you'll be fine.

Magnetic storage is your only concern: i.e. miniature hard drives. Say like an iPods. Or if you every try to stuff a laptop in your pants.

Cell phones should be fine as well, TMK.

Ahh that is true..

My friend with the wallet had mentioned something about a cell phone screen. Of course they aren't a CRT like a monitor or TV that can get damaged with a magnetic, but I thought he said something about the screen messing up.
