Magnetic foodstuffs

I'm trying to come up with a semi amusing practical joke - involving a cake with unusual magnetic properties.

Any ideas about edible substances with magnetic properties (paramagnetic is best - but diamagnetic almost as good)

The only one I can think of is blueberries which are paramagnetic.

Wasn't there just a news story recently about some toddler who died after eating a couple magnets that came out of a toy?

yeah, i can see the headline now "guy tries to pull practical joke and friends choke to death and guy goes to FPMITAP for ten years"

Er. OK then. Permanenet magnets aren't edible - yeah, well, I kinda was suspecting that might be the case. 🙂

Sounds rather specific. What's the occasion?

The only magnetic foods I know of are Cheerios. Remember crushing them up in science class to get the iron out of them?

I've since found out that cranberries, blueberries and blackcurrants are all quite strongly paramagnetic (due to their Manganese content).

I'm not sure that the cheerios would do what I want. But the fruit is definitely looking promising.
