Magical avatar association?

Is it just me, or is there something magical about the avatars here? I've never been to another forum where avatar choices were limited, but it seems to work as well, if not better, than forums that allow you a custom avatar.

Because of the limited avatar selection, I've begun to associate people with avatars. If I hadn't seen a pic of LolaWiz, I would've thought she looks the same as her avatar. Same with mosh. 😱

I haven't seen a pic of Mosh so I am guilty of this.
 
i use an asian woman avatar, and i am pretty far from being an asian woman. so what's the point? it only applies to people who never changes their avatar.
 
lmao, I've also considered Mosh to be a cute redhead with a perfect smile. I've never seen her pic either. I usually don't worry about what people really look like though.

Neither do I, but it sometimes comes as a shock to see someone who's completely different from your expectations (for better or worse).
 
Give mechBgon some credit, he's the guy who made a lot of the avatars, including the Cheetah avatar, the best of them all!

I can't say I look anything like my avatar, it just represents how I feel about my proficiency when it comes to computers.

BTW-over TFNN I use a pic of myself as my avatar.
