He's American, born in California. He's Half I think his dad is Japanese, full name is Cyril Takayama.
 
Cool trick. No doubt the tank is rigged, but hopefully it wasn't a shill audience. otherwise the trick definately loses its coolness.

But that David Blaine thing was hilarious!!
 
If you watch you can see him slip the card into the cloth right before he rubs the window. He tells a joke so no one looks, but you can see him plam a card into the cloth.
