magic says lebron and melo should be on the all star team. ok, i could see how u could argue lebron a spot on the east squad... but who the heck is melo gonna replace in the west?!?! with peja and garnett locking down the SF spots... there's no way in hell melo would/could/should be on he west squad. even if either (or both) peja and KG were injured... i could think of a few other's more deserving (ie - shawn marion, rashard lewis, antoine walker, latrell sprewell). keep in mind that starters are the one's who win the popularity contest and the reserves are choosen by coaches.

I hope so too. That type of attitude makes me mad. It's good to be confident in yourself but being an idiot like that deserves no respect. Being on the All-Star team in anyway is an honor, what he said is degrading to all the All-Star subs that work just as hard if not harder than him. Also, for him to think he deserves being on the team over the current people shows how much he needs to mature mentally. No way he deserves a spot over KG, Peja, AK-47, etc.

i agree. especially after watching the '92 all star game on ESPN Classic, where Tim Hardaway gave up his starting spot to Magic. that was classy and respectful.

Melo has a horrible horrible shooting percentage, if I want a scorer that cant do anything else, I take Rashard Lewis. At least he doesnt have this "I'm on top of the world" attitude.

Indeed, what ever happened to the happy-smiling kid I saw play in the NCAA tourney.?:)

And didn't AI or someone give up their starting position last year for MJ to play in the all-star game?

my memory could be wrong, but i think both might have offered MJ their starting spot.

Vince didn't want to, AI said he would, the press & public bugged Vince half to death, then Vince said he was ok with it all along(to cover his ass).

And that is why AI in my book is the friggen man. I wish he could be apart of a better team with better team mates to help support him.
