Maggie (Zombie movie with arnold schwarzenegger)

I love arnold schwarzenegger. I love zombie movies.

You can imagine my disappointment when 20 minutes into this movie I was struck with a keen awareness of how damn slowly it was moving. I'm now at 39 minutes and not sure I should continue. Should I? I can say with certainty no movie with arnold schwarzenegger has ever gone this slowly. Most of the rottentomato reviews focus on its slowness and of grave concern is that the critics' 52% is 10% above the user one 🙁

The entire thing is slow. If you drink an entire bottle of port with your wife, like I did, the movie eventually turns into both of you doing Arnie impressions at inappropriate times during the movie and then it's not so bad.

I've heard it's good. I will probably just purchase a HD stream at some point.

Arnold has been doing some workmanlike acting lately, good stuff for someone who was a campy 80's action star.

Was he ever an actual actor? He can't pull a Clint Eastwood when he gets old.

Nothing wrong with his acting, TBH nothing wrong with anyones acting in the film.

It was a cool idea for a film but I feel it really wasn't developed enough.

The ending reminds me of a film festival movie not a "proper" film which is either good or bad depending on how much you have been brainwashed by hollywood.

Willl never watch again but I don't regret the time I spent watching it.

Not sure why I found this so funny, but thanks.

I just finished the movie via wiki's plot. I'm happy to report I won't finish the movie for real. It's clear the movie doesn't get better at all. Drawn out, brutal, pointless.

I'll guess that this post is better than the movie 🙂

It seemed to center more around the father-daughter relationship and how hard it is say good bye to loved ones than having to do with the zombie apocalypse.

I enjoyed it. Take it for what it is, the zombie thing was just background.
Reminded me of some movie where a kid was dying due to some disease and it was an account of his family slowly losing him, including his grandfather, a carpenter, making his coffin.
