Remember those memes of empty shelves during COVID that conservatives were sharing saying this is what life would be like if liberals were in charge... while Trump was in office?

Trump didn't do it, it was all Fauci's fault and he should be in prison. MAGAs ability to deflect Trump's shit onto innocent people's really spectacular. The fact a lot of sensible people are saying that Biden needs to pardon Fauci before he leaves office is crazy. He literally didn't do anything yet he's square in Trump's sights. And these same MAGAs that are calling for Fauci's head are thrilled that RFKJ will be in control of health. You can't make this shit up, at least before it was clear when people were trolling. Now it's like the trolls became actual people, and what used to be trolling is how they really think.

People saying RFKJ > Fauci is something I still refuse to accept isn't a huge troll job.

Fauci is also the person Trump hand picked. If Fauci was a problem it’s Trump’s fault for picking him.

Fauci was an icon before the pandemic. He'd been that icon on the national stage for decades. It was almost impossible for Trump to not pick him. His iconic status made it almost impossible for Trump to dump him, which annoyed Trump a great deal because he likes to think he can fire anybody serving him who isn't his tool.

These are all excuses. Trump was the president. If he thought Fauci was doing a bad job then part of the job is for Trump to take the hit and put in someone he thought was good.

I had a guy at work who was very popular who I had to replace. It wasn’t easy, I didn’t like doing it, but I did it.

I’m not the president.

Trump was flying blind and he knew it. He knew he was in trouble. Firing Fauci would have been a mistake. If he was thinking about doing it, and got any advice, I'm sure it was to not fire Fauci.

Maybe you had to replace that guy but Trump did not have to replace Fauci. It would have made him even more unpopular with the American public, there is absolutely no doubt about that. Yes, Fauci was demonized by some, but they were idiots.

He didn’t have to do anything, but doing nothing is also a choice.

That’s the deal. You get the power, you get the responsibility. If he thought Fauci was bad then it’s the job to replace him.

The real answer is Trump is trying to avoid blame for his mismanagement.

I still see comments every day from people saying he should be in prison. I feel like he did an amazing job handling shit, especially considering idiot Trump was running around saying shit like "When Spring and the sun are here, COVID will magically vanish" and suggesting that people injecting bleach could possibly help cure COVID. Having Fauci's job with that dipshit as your boss would be top 10 worst jobs period. Trump's not only dumb beyond belief, but he's surrounded by some of the smartest and best people and still doesn't listen to shit they told him. I can only imagine Fauci giving Trump a 30 minute detailed briefing. Only to have the fucker go live on a press conference talking about the Spring weather will cure the shit lol.

And even for the people who don't believe he did a good job, what the fuck did he do where Trump should toss him in prison? And now a man who thinks tap water can turn children gay will be advising the country here? WHAT THE FUCK!

Oh you don't say?

The ports in LA are doing record volumes due to the port issues on the east coast he'll have to deal with and his own tariff threats which companies are trying to front run by ordering a year's worth of stock.

Also reminding the clueless that the unused, unexplored oil leases that have been sitting vacant under the last five year Government leasing plan may very well remain status quo since there's no profit to develop them currently.

Drill, baby drill!!

Shitlol

Clearly the answer is going to be to open more land up for leases at even lower rates.

It's darkly funny to see America furiously racing to head off a massive economic calamity that will be entirely self-inflicted.

A recession twice as bad as the GFC that we simply decided to do for the most moronic reasons should be a very good and very cool time.

I get my coffee (Bustelo) at Costco and prior to covid it was 10 buck for 4 10 oz bricks, then during covid it went to 12.50, this past weekend it is now 16 bucks for the same amount of coffee.

Unfavorable weather in coffee growing regions has kinda wrecked supply. Trump also wishes to impose a tariff on stuff like this even though tariffs on crops we literally cannot grow is really stupid.

Unless I’m misremembering the past, coffee is better and cheaper now than it was forty years ago.

Go for it for Wisconsin and Michigan - they are red states. But NY? Don't punish your allies in the US you moron Ford.
Ford is a fucking clown who wants to have more highways and rip up bike lanes in Toronto. He isn't some kind of ally.

And making gas more expensive would be a good way to get people to make better climate focused choices, since people only do things when it hits them in the pocketbook. The only downside is then some demagogue can come along and talk about how we should subsidize driving more.

I don't know what's going on with olives.. but I would buy Filippo Berrio Olive Oil for cooking and frying for like $18-20..

Now it's like $45 cheapest.. sometimes as high as $60. On amazon it's 63.77.. not that I would buy it from there.

P.S. If someone would like to point me to some American grown/ made Olive Oil which is cheaper.. please tell me. I try and eat healthy whenever I can.

I don't like Ford, but if he is going to do this, which, I mean, is just fighting Trump, I can't blame him, I stand by my recommendation to only affect red states.
