You can tell by how viscous in their attacks that the left is indeed worried at this point that Trump will be a successful president.
Well, so far he's failed to live up to most of his promises, and is taking credit for things that were either planned before he was elected (see: the job investments from major companies) or were independent of his decisions (really, what has he done that prompted an increase in mortgage applications?).
Besides, I'm not sure if I'd consider it a successful presidency when key members of his campaign (and in at least one case, administration) have been indicted, multiple administration members are on the take from the industries they regulate (Ajit Pai and Scott Pruitt, for example) and nepotism runs rampant. Unless you're eager to celebrate an unprecedented level of corruption in government, that is.
