Mafia help- spoilers

I just finished the level where you had to infiltrate the councilmember's boat, find the weapon in the bathroom, and then kill him in the middle of the speech. According to Vincenzo, there was a weapon hidden somewhere in the bathroom, yet all I could find was a bucket. I looked everywhere in the two bathrooms on the first level of the boat, and I could not find a gun. I ended up going apesh!t with the bucket, killing the councilman and one of his guards. Then, I took the guard's gun and shot my way to the escape boat driven by Pauly. My question is: where was the damn weapon in that level? I can't imagine that Vincenzo would hide a bucket on the boat and then call it a weapon. I assumed there would at least be a 1911 somewhere if not a Tommy gun.

If you are on the front deck facing the back of the boat it's on the left bathroom. It's a Colt revolver, and yeah, it was a bitch to find.

I think I looked there, but didn't find it. Anyways, a bucket wielding assassin makes a better story in the papers the next day than a shooter.

First you have to get they key to open the locked bathroom.

You need the bucket. And then you need to find the guy who has the key. He tells you to go clean something with the bucket before giving you the key (I think).

I forget which dude though, sorry. Been a while since I played the game.
