Im really thinking about picking this up. I haven't heard anything after it came out, other than review sites. Just curious what your guys opinions are for those that bought or rented it....
 
gamefly just sent me a copy of it. i will post my thoughts when i get it. should be here by wednesday.
 
I picked it up a few days after it came out. There was already a used copy available which wasn't encouraging but it is a fun game. I only got through the first 4 levels so I don't know how long or repetitive it gets. It's similar to No More Heroes with more violence and less off beat humor. You basically fight a bunch of random dudes and then have a cool boss battle.

See I'm fine with short games as long as they put something in there to keep you coming back. I remember playing Rogue Leader a ton when I had a GameCube... sure, the campaign itself was terribly short, but I kept playing and replaying the missions over and over again just to get gold medals!

Does Mad World have anything like that? Medals, achievements, challenges?
 
i played the game. the game is really violent. it was good but i had to return it since my gamefly is expiring. but it seems like a classic brawl game,

the bonus level (i guess u can call it that) is how many people can u throw into a huge jet turbine engine. kinda funny.

 
I rented it and I can't say it is a bad game. It seemed competent for what it was trying to do but I couldn't be bothered to keep playing after the first level.
 
I think i would be more comfortable with regular controls...i think the whole wii motion scheme throws me off a little.
 
i just beat it. I played about 2 hours during the week, and completed it today. It started getting real repetitive, but didn't bore me. Total time 4:21. I'd rate it an 8, rather than a 9 through IGN. Also, with it being a 4 hour game, i'd consider it a downloadable for 360 or PS3.
 
AWESOME game! Playing it right now, the B&W looks damn cool, the comentary is good but gets repetitive sometimes. Bosses so far have been pure bad ass. Getting the super & ultra violent kills are pretty hard. Even hardcore can take some work for me. I have yet to get a Super or Ultra. I speared 3 dudes in a row and with all of them still on the spear I tossed them in some sort of fryer and I think it was only ranked as a hardcore lol. The amount of blood and different number of ways you can kill the baddies is very cool. I've killed hundreds and still think there are some methods I haven't discovered. And there's something evil but cool about shoving a trumpet into the side of a guys head and hearing it toot toot a little as he staggers around.

Sorry to bump an old thread but this game is new to me, and I'm having a blast.

i got this via gamefly today, played like 1.5 hours, and am sending it back.

If I had to say anything about it, it is fun for like 1.5 hours then gets old 🙂
 
I finished the game last week and it was pretty fun and interesting. Short but well worth the rent. 🙂
