Hehe nice, I switched recently as well. I find it handles way better. Those greyhound busses are nice on the highway but hard to get going.

Its interesting how the evolution of software goes. Starts off lean and mean and get fat as the sponsors come on board. Im sure a long time ago Norton was a fast program with no bloat

Yep it's sad really. Firefox used to be very lightweight and fast.

Heck, Windows, used to be lightweight and fast!

Adding new features and updating existing features to support new technologies should not make a program more bloated imo.. I think lot of it is based on lazy programming. People just figure "oh well today's computers are fast anyway, no need to optimize anything!".

I like Chrome as well, but it does have the bug where it doesn't always return you to the spot you left. Looks like this bug has been 'noted' since about May 09 so Google isn't real quick to fix bugs that should be easy to fix.

The thing i disliked about Firefox the most was the way it handles bookmarks. Chrome is much better but IE is even better.

What an absurd statement. How exactly do you define "bloat"? How can you add new features and support new technologies without adding code and increasing the footprint of the application?
