I have a HP laserjet P1102w. To set it up, I had to connect through usb, and then have it connect to my wireless network. (I then went through the process of sharing and all that crap).

I recently got a new router, which has a different wifi name and password. As far as I can tell from searching around, there is NO way to have it connect to my new network outside of resetting the printer, uninstalling, and then reinstalling.

Not only is this a huge pain, but Im also gonna lose all my shared settings nd have to do all that over again. Surely there is a way to have it switch networks without going through all this right?

ok so im about to drive to the tallest building I can find, stab myself on the elevator, and jump off the [tallest] roof. [Damn] this printer and their [lousy] software.

Just took about an hour to uninstall and reinstall this [software]. Had a problem because my network had a space in it. FINALLY got everything all set up and working. Printed a new notepad files, word doc, picture in ms paint.

Though I was good to go until I actually went to go print something I needed to print. Now my printer cant be located, and the blue light is flashing again - which means its trying to connect to a network. WHAT.THE.[HECK].

Not sure what the problem is, but I really dont wanna go through this whole [process] again just to have the same thing happen. [Damn you] HP

No profanity in the technical forums

Do you have any other special characters in your password?

no special characters. Password is a combination of upper and lower case letters + numbers. I had to get rid of the space in the network name to get it to work in the first place (probably a good idea anyway).

Anyway, it randomly started working last night. About an hour after giving up, I looked over and noticed the blinking blue light was now steady. For now it seems to be working, but if It craps out again I have a baseball bat that will solve the problem.
