I'm a programmer for a telemarketing company. I work anywhere from 40-60 hours per week (hence my delayed graduation). I write with Informix 4GL/SQL, Perl (CGI), C, C++, Unix shell (korn, bourne, bash), sed/awk, Java, PHP.

Outside of work... :roll: 40-60 hours a week is nothing. I was talking about a real life. Not some website where he can rant about things and pretend his opinions are important. Obviously he wants people to worship his thoughts. Just look at the lengths he goes to in each of them...

Most people hate Maddox because he hit on something they like . Well, thats just my guess, I mean he has pissed off plenty with his opinions.

That's my suspicion, too. I think he's a hoot. I don't see how he's different from any other humor/satire columnist. Some of his columns aren't that funny, but then again, the likes of Dave Barry and Kurt Vonnegut don't have a 1.000 humor average, either - and they do it for a living.

Maddox does see things for the truth. Like that "how to be a cam whore" one was great. It pretty much described most bloggers and camwhores I know to the detail. I'd show it to friends who run blogs and camwhore sites and they would get all offended and say stuff like "he has no life" etc.

Look how often maddox writes articles. Between his two latest postings was nearly three weeks (!). If he spends maybe an hour thinking through and typing something its really not that much time invested so the point that he has too much time is moot

Yeah, at least his posts are funny. There are so many bloggers out there that many people let go, but because he actually happens to be funny, people bash on him. I love his posts. They're hilarious.

Maddox doesn?t bother me. Some of the stuff he writes is absolutely hilarious. I'd say that his child art rant is still my favorite.
Do I agree with everything he says? Crap, no. I?m not even sure if I would agree with him 50% of the time. I give him his due though because he can be very funny at times. His opinions don?t matter more than anyone else?s.

Oh and I love the hate mail that he posts.

Thanks for reminding me about Maddox, I haven?t checked out his site in a very long while.

Ok, so you hate people who quote Chapelle show... yet you realize Maddox has an article on that exact same concept? And he does use an "I know everything" stance, but that is where his humor comes from. Sometimes he is off, sometimes you may disagree with him, but most of the time him coming off as "I know everything" is what makes it funny.

I don't hate people who quote Chapelle. That's not the idea. It's when people quote ANYTHING that's been beaten to death and STILL EXPECT IT TO BE FUNNY. That had nothing to do with Maddox, mind you.

i dont agree with him all the time.
