I've never played a sports game on the PC but I got a new card and xbox 360 controller so I might as well. How do sports games play on the PC vs console (assuming I'm using the same controller for both systems)?

'07 is only 10 bucks but '08 is 40 bucks. Price difference worth it?

If you're using the 360 controller than it really won't play any different on PC vs. console. Look around at some reviews and see if they say '08 is a good enough jump from '07 to justify cost.

Best PC gamepad for any Madden game is the Logitec RumblePad II. Then the Xbox 360 controller. I actually use the RumblePad II for all my PC games (except for FPS games). Its so accurate and smooth that flight sims and driving games work great. I no longer use my Saitek filght stick or anything else for that matter.

I hope you realize that Madden '08 for PC is using the old engine. It won't look like PS3 or XBOX 360.

If you are like many others, that don't like EA's support for PC, please sign this petition:

EDIT: If you have to have a Madden game, get the 07 version and just update the rosters. No need to give them $30 more for roster updates.

If you plan to play online with Madden 07 it will expire after Aug 31 and it will become a fee to play online I think I could be wrong.
