Posting this here as the Android version is not out yet.
Is it just me or this game not only a complete rip off from the Gameloft NFL Pro series, but it's not even as good?
Madden 25 you need "Energy" to play games, but you only gain Energy on level up, otherwise you have to wait 30 minutes to get 1 Energy back (remember you need 5 to play a game). At least in NFL Pro you win "Money" after each game which is used to play more games.
No upgrading players. I'm the Redskins, instead of upgrading my current team, what Madden makes me do is replace my players with people from other teams in the league. So instead of being able to upgrade London Fletcher, I instead get to replace him with Ray Lewis? lolwtf?
No regular season mode. Instead they went with NFL Pro's challenge mode that has you playing random teams... even your own team? Yep, I had to play the Redskins... as the Redskins, except I had Ray Lewis and a couple of Stealers players on my team instead.
The auction house. You can spend the coin you earn on player cards to replace your team's original players with. Only problem? When you try to browse for cards you get a list of auctions that are all ending in 7 seconds. And you can't refresh the list, you have to go to another window and come back.
I'm not a big proponent of mobile gaming, the reason being the issues shown above. There is a distinct lack of polish and design when it comes to mobile games. I at least expected a company as big as EA to release a good Madden game, but all they did was completely copy their mobile competition, except they made some things even worse.
I know this was a long winded rant for just a mobile game. I had some spare time and thought I'd share my thoughts on EA's most recent attempt. Anyone else play the game yet?
