Madden 2016 comes out tomorrow

I hope Madden die and EA lose it NFL license and 2K take over like it used to before EA got scare and well you know the story. Your Avi is what should be pointed at Madden.

Picking it up this year since Best Buy was having a slick deal on trade-ins (giving you $22 credit + $10 coupon for Madden 16 if you trade in Madden 15 with GCU, and selling Madden 16 for $48 with $10 Reward Certificate). If you live in a city where Uber is giving away free copies of Madden 15, you might be able to trade it in for Madden 16 dirt cheap.

I'm actually pretty excited for this year's offering. Hoping they go the extra mile with this year's entry since Madden 15 is offered for dirt cheap via EA Access.

Wait, when was that promo? Can I still do it? I may actually buy it then...

Edit: looks like promo over.

Not as good as the James Franco's brother and Kevin Heart commercial.

From what I've heard and seen (the developers streamed some gameplay a few days ago), it looked decent. I might pick it up if enough friends do.

Great ad. I think last years was a little better though. I preordered from best buy (GCU), I'll be grabbing it tomorrow for XB1.

So, to clarify:

You hate Madden because EA's exclusivity deal has made the Madden franchise stagnate. So, your solution is that you want Madden to go away and for NFL 2K to return. You want EA out of the picture, but you want 2K, who has filled its NBA 2K franchise with microtransactions and couldn't run a decent baseball franchise to save its life, to be the sole option for football?

Or do you want Madden to die, NFL 2K to return, and another third-party offering to magically appear?

Well, Dave Franco's the lead in the new video as well, but I agree. I liked the one last year more.

The only reason EA has exclusive right to NFL is because NFL 2k5 is the best football game ever made similar to how NBA 2K series is the most authentic and realistic basketball simulation to date. I would like madden to die and 2K take over. If other companies want to make football game too, that would be great. I miss the day of being able to have multiple football IP like Blitz, Gameday, etc....

If anything, I just want NFL Street back (NBA Street as well). Like I've said, 2K ran a baseball franchise into the ground, and their basketball games have somewhat stagnated of late. I haven't bothered getting one since 2K12, and I only got it because it was $10 with a purchase of MLB 2K12. Then they tied microtransactions into NBA 2K14 pretty heavily (not sure if they got much better in 2K15), so I can't say I'd want 2K to take over.

The problem is none of that is true. The NFL wanted an exclusive license and EA simply was able to bid the most. And, even then, Madden continued to outsell NFL 2k by millions of units. Even NFL 2k5 didn't outsell Madden, despite being superior game.

NFL Blitz was literally designed to take your quarters from you in the arcade. 30 yards for a first down? Pay EVERY quarter? More competition might be nice, except is there even a market or studio anymore for it?

Did so more research, and it does look like Ultimate Team has drafts, and you can regularly get good players. The gameplay looks good and IG UI looks fresh, while being familiar. I might pick this one up, but with FIFA 16 coming out soon, I don't know how much time I'll have for it.

Yeah, I can't bring myself to get Madden 16. I got Madden 15, and I don't think I even kept it for 3 months before I bored of it, traded it in, and played through last year's holiday gauntlet (Mordor, Evil Within, Sunset Overdrive, AW, Halo). This year's is going to be even worse (Woolly World, Mario Tennis, Forza, Halo, Fallout, MAYBE one of Siege, BO3, and Battlefront). Shortly after that are Quantum Break and The Division, so I don't see how I could make room for Madden. Instead, I'll probably get EA Access and play it once it's in the Vault, which will probably be after the Super Bowl, like last year. I have to get EA Access for Rory McIlroy sometime anyway.

And, to let you guys get super salty, Tony Romo higher rated in MUT than Rodgers. Only Steve Young and John Elway appear to be higher rated and he is tied with Randall Cunningham at 92.

Also, OBJ looks to be 99 rated... Wtf?

The big problem with Madden from year to year, is that no matter how many strides the game takes aesthetically (and it's VERY good in that regard, easily surpassing superior playing games like The Show and NBA2K), there's ALWAYS at least one or more AI or gameplay bugs that any real football fan will be struggling with for weeks.

If I remember correctly, despite Madden 15 otherwise being very solid, the big issues last year were WAY too many sacks and INTs.

I must have tried at LEAST 5 different slider sets from Operation Sports, plus my own tweaks, and still ended up with too many of one or the other.

You can still have a lot of fun with the game, but real fans of football will always be left frustrated.

fixed that for you.

The only thing I have played in Madden for the past 2 years is Ultimate Team. maybe I'll splurge and by the deluxe edition and get a head start.
