Madden 2004 Freezing! Please Help!!!!!!!!

Hi guys, I just got Madden 2004 for PC and I've been playing it, and its amazing. During gameplay everything works perfect, the graphics are off the roof, and overall gameplay is 10 out of 10. However, after I finish a game and I click on End Game. It goes to the loading screen to go back to the main menu, but as its loading the red bar at the bottom goes all the way to the right and finishes loading, but then the game gets stuck right at that moment. Why does it only get stuck at that moment. I have to keep restarting my computer. So, I cant even a franchise, because I cant get back to the main menu. Below are some specs that I am running the game at

No Virus-Scanner
nVidia GeForce 4 Ti4200 128DDR Ram (Latest Drivers 45.23)
DirectX 9
1280X768 (32-bit)

What I dont understand is that during the game, everything is perfect no choppyness, its as smooth as it gets, but it freezes as its loading at the finish of the game. Please help me out here, I love Madden 2004 and I need to play it. Thanks

I dont have it for pc, but I may be able to point you in the direction of help.

I have the exact same problem with the exact same setup. When it freezes, after a couple of seconds, it automatically reboots the pc and XP, on next boot, says that the display device caused system instability or something and XP had to reboot. If I disable XP's auto-reboot on crash, when the game freezes the BSD says something about infinite loop and the card not being able to complete a drawing operation, also mentions something about nv4_disp.dll. I will check those forums crow posted to see if its a known issue, but after searching google and many forums, this is the first place I saw anyone mention the problem.

XP 2000+
512 ddr
GF Ti4200 128
SBL gamer 5.1
K7s5a mobo
dx9.X(whatever is the newest) on XP
45.23 dets
lastest WHQL drivers for everything

Does anyone have a similar setup with the game not displaying this behavior?

EDIT: I see that there are some folks over on the other board with the same problem, hopefully new nVidia drivers or a patch for Madden fixes the problem. This is the only game I have that has this problem. My system is usually stable as can be.

I would try reinstalling DirectX 9 (or get the latest if you haven't) and the video card drivers. Also, maybe find a driver that is a bit older than the one you have now.
