Finally caved in and bought it for the PS3.

WTF is with "Superstar" gameplay? I am playing this on a 46 inch TV and it looks like ants are playing on the screen. Why does it stay in a zoomed out at all times? Also, the gamplay is slow as hell in this mode. My gf was sitting on the couch reading a book and she glimpsed at the game and said, "Why does this game look like crap? I can't even see what's going on...the players are so small".

I had Madden 10 on the PS2, this was not an issue at all. It only zoomed out when you wanted to check your routes and gameplay was not sluggish. Am I missing something here?

I have it for the xbox360 and superstar mode plays fine. Can't you change the viewing angle? What position is your player?
 
Back on Madden 07, I used to love playing as CB in Superstar mode. I would blitz whenever I wanted to, rack up on tackles stopping the runs, and try to read the ai qb to grab int. I was kick and punt returner as well, of course.
