Madden 08 PC (NEVERMIND)

EDIT:

Found this site which seems to be exactly what I was looking for

http://www.portforward.com/eng...arding/routerindex.htm

I got a buddy who doesn't have a console...so we decided to pick up a cheapo copy of Madden 08 PC to battle it out with updated rosters...

When either of us goes to host an internet game the ip resolves to the internal IP given out by our routers...which I can understand...

I cannot find anything in regards the proper way of setting it up...

I looked for stuff regarding opening specific ports on the router and / or sending my buddy the actual IP address...but that didn't work.

We did get it to work when he just plugged his desktop into the modem but I do not want to resort to that method.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,
Lee

This might be worth reading. LINK

Apparently, a patch fixed the direct IP. If port forwarding doesn't work, I'd recommend installing Hamachi on both systems and network play through it.

I went in and opened ports 1795,1797 on the router and was able to have him connect to me.

The only issue was having to go and find my external IP address which isn't that big of a deal.
