Just setup a system with the following specs:
AMD Athlon 3800+ X2 (Windsor)
Gigabyte GA-M16VMES2 (nForce 400)
1 GB Kingston DDR2 667 CAS5 (single channel mode)
EVGA Geforce 7900 GS KO 256MB
When I run the Mad Mod Mike demo the FPS drops from 20+ to 5 FPS when Mike's on the screen. I've tried using the latest WHQL nVidia Drivers from EVGA but no difference.
The thing is when I plugged in the GeForce 7900 GS into my Dell Pentium D (Dual Core) 2.8 GHz (Smithfield)/i945G/4x512MB DDR 533 the frame rate is very good and does not lag at all.
I ran Sisoft sandra benchmarks and CPU and Memory results are about on par with the Pentium D. What could I have missed out?
