(I hope this isn't a repost--searched but couldn't find these anywhere)

GeForce 2 64MB AGP 2X/4X

They also have Mad Dog MultiMedia Predator MX 4000 Plus AGP Card (link) for $29, but it wasn't available in my area. GeForce MX 128MB AGP 8X/4X.

There are also a couple of cheap sound cards, $4 and $9. Check out the Clearance section for these and other bargains.

Hi,

The OM site says:
# High-Definition Video Processor (HDVP)
# DirectX and S3TC Texture Compression
# Support for DirectX 8.1 and OpenGL 1.3

I am looking for a PCI video card that supports DirectX 9.0 for my kid's Dell Dimension 2400 box. I realize this is not a top-of-the-line or newest card, but it's bummer that a current market card like this one does not do DirectX 9.

Is there anyway to get a Radeon 7000 PCI card to do DirectX9, enough to play some HotWheels game my kid has?

if you don't want the latest graphics features, this should do just fine. even the newest most demanding games like doom3/halflife2 don't *require* DX9 support, even though they say they do. in fact, they still look pretty darn good without it. I doubt hotwheels will be an issue.

Why do you people ask so much out of a video card many generations behind current cards? Please, be realistic. You can't ask much for a card that has been sub-par for many years.
